Avocado Serrano Hummus
We are hummus lovers, and also guacamole lovers. Combining some of the flavors together makes for an interesting twist. The Serrano pepper has a lingering subtle heat that seems like a good blend. The cilantro and hot sauce also adds a depth of spice to this Avocado Serrano Hummus. Peppers are a great anti cancer diet staple that helps build your immune system. So let’s keep it spicy. This avocado serrano hummus ends up being so creamy because of the avocado and makes for a delightful dip for a mid-morning or afternoon snack. Of course, it makes for a great appetizer when entertaining as well.
Serve with celery sticks, carrots, and radishes. For a great presentation at a party leave 1″ of the green stem on the radish. Scrub gently around the stem and cut the bottom of the radish flat. You now have a “little handle” to hold on to as you dip your radish! Your guests will be impressed.
Another great dipper are Jicama sticks and a whole grain cracker or blue corn chips.
